WISTERIA - LONDON SOUTH BANK CENTRE COMMISSION
Wisteria is a series comprising of two art installations commissioned by London South Bank Centre for Poetry International Festival 2006 located in Queen Elizabeth Hall.
The main installation was a three-meter wide chandelier with a mirrored surface, which slowly rotated on the stage in the Purcell Room auditorium.
The second part of the installation created for the ‘Soft Space’ in the foyer consisted of a smaller chandelier and display units to form the festival’s Poetry Lounge.
The work was inspired by Kwame Dawes’ new collection Wisteria: Twilight Poems from the Swamp Country.
